You want to be conservative in the candidates that you select, so after skimming through hundreds of resumes, you should make sure that you are able to establish a rigid screening process to hire the best sales professionals for your business. An Organizational Assessment is one of the best ways for you to filter your applicants and hire top talent for your company. Remember that this is not simply limited to the usual initial and final interviews. These organizational assessments can still be conducted for current and active employees to help measure the success and culture of your business, and effectively identify the areas that can still be improved.

These types of assessments are typically done with the presence of a human resources representative or someone with a background in Psychology. Tests will be conducted to help define the strengths and weaknesses of potential candidates. Employees can also go through a series of exams to help understand the various personalities and competencies of a specific sales team. The diagnostic way of identifying issues will certainly make problem solving a lot easier due to these assessments. Once you are able to retrieve the results, your human resources representative can sit down with you to help you evaluate how each of your staff can make a contribution to your business. You want to be able to stay strategic and look at it long term, but at the same time, you also want to be aggressive in exceeding your goals. Measuring human capital may be subjective or sometimes even arbitrary, but it will surely give you a good picture of what you can do to maximize your people’s potential.
